well i was a virgin untill this summer. I had plenty of oppurtunities to engage in intercourse prior to the summer, and with hot attractive people. Now, people would think "why stay a virgin" considering I have an extremely liberal standpoint. I also never admited to my virginity, or never made it an issue, i.e. when people talked about sex, i woudn't outwarldy state "i'm a virgin!" unless someone asked the question if i was..and nobody did since they all assumed I lost my virginity a long time ago. However, the reason I kept my virginity intact, is because I feel people have become extremely obsessed with sex in an unhealthy way and it has lost all meaning. Not that there is anything wrong with casual sex, but it's unhealthy to be consumed and obsessed with anything...i.e. drugs, sex, food etc. I also wanted my "first time" to be something special, and to actually trust the person I was with. I'm also not very comfortable with myself and my body, hence a hesitation. But furthur, i felt like I couldn't handle the ideology of casual sex, myself. I mean i have been in some pretty comprimising situations, i.e. half naked and drunk in a hotel room with a member of the opposite sex who kept trying to engage me in sexual activity, but I did not engage in any form, i.e. oral or actual intercourse but resisted. Most people would of never resisted. I kind of regret losing it now, because it is NOT that great as I expected it would be (i.e. the person i'm with does not satisify me, and does not know how to do it right) and I also do not care that much for the person i'm doing it with, so in hindsight I sort of regret it in a way. Also, its very dangerous both emotionally and physically of course because of STD's. Personally, I prefer in casual "make-outs" rather then casual sex, i find make-outs to be much more intimate and passionate, rather then a "dick in a pussy." but..i do like porn. ironically.
