he is owed a duty of care by the original manufacturer of the chips (thats if they werent cut fresh on the premesis) and so he could sue for mega bucks , i know hes owed a duty of care but i cant remember if tis by the manufacturer or the shop owner, i think its the manufacturer but if the chips were cut on by the owner of the shop (ie dude who sold em to him) then he is the manufacturer..

did he ask for his money back or anything?
