I dunno man....Lampard stands out quite a lot while being surrounded by such world class players, and is the most influential player in the chelsea team.
Gerrard has the same role in liverpool but in current form I would put my money on lampard.

people just look at the result and see lampards name on scoresheets...so they say lampard..but if they eva watched a football match theyl see the difference...lamaprd may get more goals...but gerrards much more creative and has more qualities in every position than lampard...

gerrard has played centre on the wing and even up front...thats shows enuff whos more quality lol......

Sure is an achievment in it's own right, when we finish ABOVE, arguably one of the best teams in Europe.

Onus was on Chelsea to beat Liverpool, not vice versa.

I've just checked the standings and the hardest teams we can draw in the next round are Juventus/Bayern or Real Madrid. Others should be fairly straightforward given Benitez's meticulous record in this competition.

It would also be a bonus if manutd get knocked out as it means a bigger slice of the prize money from hereon. Also, Chelsea could be stuffed by playing Lyon, Barcelona, even Arsenal (not sure if country protection is given at this stage). Chelsea aren't as good as they were last season, Robben and Duff look out of puff. Makelele is out for a long time and will take a while getting back his form.
