when my roomates dad got back from india the designer that made our clothes n stuff sent us this cd full of clothes from other websites and magazines and told us we can order from him and he'll mail it to us and stuff super dooper cheap some benzer srtuff is on there as well

if u pleat it and pin it to ur sleeve(shoulder) and then take the front and drape it across urself and tuck it into ur chuniyo at the back
thats to 'Lagaan' style for me, i want it to look trendy, minus so much exposure, the top is kinda short as well, so its allot of skin showing for me :)

i have this one AWESOMEEEEE outfit all my friends borrow it but ya i agree i hate spending sooo much on clothes that we can't wear often, this happens a lot with all the dance shows and stupid weddings that chicks are suppose to attend...did u ever notice how easy it is for brothers to get outta a desi event?? GRR

anyhow there was once a site that had girls selling their used desi clothes super cheap i dunno where the site went but i think it's an awesome idea...also i've sold a couple outfits to friends of mine that jock them hard enough after i've been seen by too many ppl in them...that kinda works too

also my mom bitches about spending a lot on a pair of jeans (which is a total need!) yet when it comes to dishing out cash for desi clothes and earrings n bangles n what not it's not a big deal wtf??

just the last time iw as in htown i went to alisha's found a heavy pant suit with really unique sleeves and cuts to it and i loveeeeeeee that kinda stuff so yah i talk the lady down to 80 and then i was like i dunno i don't need this outfit and i still have to get the pants made bc they were big n kinda loose n stupid looking so i told my mom can i just have $80 instead to go out with my friends n stuff n she wa like NO WHY DO YOU SPEND SO MUCH MONEY blah blah blah n i was just thinking you dumb loser you're gonna let me spend 80 on something i'll wear once on stage yet wont give me 80 to hang with my friends n like go out nicely?? THAT MADE NO SENSE!

so then i told my dad n he gave me more than 80 to make me happy, it worked, and was like yah ur mom doesn't see the logic sorry shaz n i still got the outfit so i guess it was a good day huh?

Well I guess that I stumbled upon this thread rather late but cant help saying that these dresses are fabulous. That is one reason for which I adore the Indian dresses. To add to the glitz and glamor are the jewelery collections that are shown here in the pics. Being an addict of jewelery this certainly has doubled my viewing pleasure.

wow shazia!! i especially LOVE the one you said 'this one is unique'. i went to india at the end of last year, and looked for a 'rainbow' coloured sari. i couldnt find the perfect rainbow sari anywhere. i did however find another one that was yellow, purple, pink etc. i will post a pic when i finally wear it.

your welcome i like vibrant rainbow saris as well and i've never seen a sari with sucha modern bottom to it...so that was neat the whole fishtail like details

anyhow if you see any other outfits you like most of the time you can simply right click an outfit and go to properties to see where i got them from. If you do happen to do that and see photobucket, facebook just ask. same goes for janubaba because most of those are from the janubaba site that showcases paki modeling but a lot of the outfits posted came from seasonsindia or bargello.com

viasge and jang pakistani magazine are great sources to turn to online to check out latest paki designers. i have to say there's something more sophisticated about pakistani designs compared to indian designers in most cases. however when i was a teenie bopper i loved indian designers and still do. jj valaya, manish malhotra, sabyasachi mukherjee just to name a few. however i rarely like pakistani saris and most of the time they are ready made and i can't stand those!

also the capri pants are here to stay it started off with a slit in pants, then ankle length then above the ankle and now we're at the calf... hmm summer will we get to the knees? i think so however i haven't seen any girls wear those here or in my cousins pics back home. but i think this trend will rise by the summer.

ok so i went to look around for antiqued looking work and i tried to keep in mind blue, and devdas like traditional elegance not paindu however there's not much blue bridal stuff out there on the net. anyhow from the searching i did here's what i've got so far...

anyhow i'm assuming this is the color gold she wanted?

this white outfit is a good example of traditional work and since it's in white you can see the design really well and get it replicated with whatever fabric she wants back home (thats the key thing to taking pics of outfits to reproduce making sure the work is visible)

ok so i know lately i've been really into paki fashion but yall have to excuse me bc i am paki and i'm getting a lotta clothing made there right now so i've had my eye on trends i like and don't like (for example i'm tired of the capri thing however longer kameez tops with churidars or anarkalis are still going strong, me however i dont like a kameez to be longer than mid calf anything more can make even my non short ass look short and stumpy so ladies keep that in mind when you do buy clothes).

ok so these lil shrugs with kameez tops are cute sometimes but for the most part i'm not a fan of the trend, it looks nice on children but anyhow HSY just designed clothing for a wedding some time back and my cousin knew the ppl so i got to check out the private pics. i also found pics on a paki paparazzi site and i'll show yall that next time. point is hsy is a fan of shrugs too OH NO! what do yall think?

I LOVE THIS OUTFIT it's so chic and just perfect for a desi or non desi event. also my sister hates wearing desi clothes but i know she'll love this, i may send for this from pakistan too but in some other color combo it looks so nice doesn't it? so to those of yall that have friends that hate desi girl clothes show them stuff like this and they'll suck it up and not mind wearing it when they need to.

So a good friend of mine named zohra moved back home and her mom has a store in karachi. Anyhow she designed her outfit on the right and her friend's valima dress on the left. I can't wait to get stuff from her :) also i really like the mandarin collared look. I ordered some banarsi (brocaded) stuff like that recently we'll see if they bring back what i asked for lol.
