I met this guy who i had never met online...and we honestly were in love and all. we considered ourselves soulmates..and to many people it might be like..ok u guys never met but trust me it was a very strong connection...despite the love we had for each other...it all fell apart..reason being hes muslim and im sikh..and if i wasnt gonna convert then his dad wouldnt accept me...one day everything was fine the next thing i know he doesnt want the relationship anymore...so two people who are in love..and consider each other soulmates are torn apart over religious differences..i do believe in soulmates..cuz the feeling is very different from just being in love...its a feeling u cant describe honestly...though one might say well if the love is there then why not fight for the relationship...i do not want to convert and the whole kid situation makes things even more complicated...the only thing im unsure of is that if i believe i have already found my soulmate but thereforth cant be with him...is he really my soulmate? :roll:

I feel it has to be true. I'm not gonna sweat it though.... Because if you believe there can be certain souls that are connected......then wouldn't you also believe that they would eventually seek each other out somehow? If something is truly meant to be....then it will happen. I don't believe everyone has ONE soulmate though....I think there can be PLENTY of different ones out there....the one you find depending on where your life takes you...or where you take your life. I've at times felt, that if you look deep inside yourself, you can feel the presence of the souls you are trying to seek out....If the right person can trigger the right presence....it can overwhelm you with awe and flood your consciousness with emotions and can change your sense of reality.

I also believe that there are many 'souls' connected in different ways....meaning there are different types of people that just seem to gravitate towards each other, not just by appearance or behavior, but just because......They can just feel each other's energies and interpret them similarly.

Ok Soul Mates don't exist for me. Soul Mates don't exist for anyone in my view. I am just saying this according to my beliefs. I don't think God made already destined perfect pairs in this World. But I won't say I am right since we have many religions here..

No that wasn't love and he wasn't your soulmate. If he tried to convert you by imposing that his father would not accept you unless you had converterd than that is not what is called "love", but merely a power struggle. That basically goes aganst the whole value and concept of love. Love is the joining of two minds and bodies. If someone trys to convert you by force, than they are trying to change you. That is contradicting the whole essence of love.
My advice to you would be, not to change for anyone, even if they claim to love you.

oh and also.. i didnt get to read the whole thing about what baygirl wrote.. but if i read the beg. right.. i have my best friend.. hes a guy sumair.. i love him to death.. even though ive known him for less then a year.. he is the ONE person who no matter how much ive bitched t him.. he never has left my side.. he hears me that im sick or strssed over something.. family, guys.. hes always there.. we even made a pact..if were both not married by 25.. we will get married! haha.. we just mesing aroud.. but ppl think were going out or husband n wife haha.. its crayz stuff.. but we treat ech other like little brother n sister type now.. so i would say.. its my soul mate.. the person who will always look out and after me.. even though he might not be my "love and husband soul mate".. hes still my best friend :)

everything is possile, it just depends on how badly someone wants it to be true. I believe it is a mind state of illusion, that some people force to be true upon themselves. On the contrary, that is only an opinion that could be wrong. What do you people think?
