yh i couldn't be bothered with it in the 1st year, one of my friends got in the final which is tmoro and now they have the forms available to apply to do it this year. heard it is really good for ur cv as well.. heard there's a lot of work to do for it tho

do you prep work for seminars? properly i mean..ie do it b4 the sem, spend time going over the cases and finding the answers?

if you prep properly you shoud be fine, because u will be used to what they are asking, its just basic prep..all u ahve to do is solve the problem and get ur arguments down..once u done that ur sorted..you have to b prepared to answer questions the teacher might ask you, so read around the thing youre doing, the moot should be on something you learnt in first year or second year

plus it looks good on ur cv..do it, cos ur js gna kick urself afterwards (if u dont do it)

i try to prepare seminar work around a week in advance so pretty prepared.. actually last year we had a practice moot in a criminal litigation seminar.. was sort of like how you described with the seminar tutor asking questions and all .. plus the competition is gonna be done in partners.. might as well put my name down

we did it in groups of like 5..ie three prepped it and 2 spoke it, and the lecturers chose the best students or something and naturally i had to do it :neutral:

we beat oxford uni though :)

i cant remember what stage because i had to pull out due to my dad losing his job, i had to work a lot more to pay bills so someone else took my place

but yeah we beat oxford thanks to my compelling argument, which i stole from smith n hogan

no i'm in the second yr and it was down as one of the options.. it was the only thing that really looked interesting (they also had employment law, civil libs, family and some other ones).. actually our class is a decent size as well.. maybe we're all just boring sods up here lol
