I personally don't see the point in having a big wedding these days and spending thousands on it. I think the average wedding in the UK cost £10 000, i mean come on put that into a house or something and have a small wedding for like £2000 or less.....and then about 3 years down the line bang!! here is the divorce.

What is everyones view on this?

well hopefully the dude i'll marry will be with me for the rest of my life. Its sad to see so many people getting married to people real quick then poof divorce cos they dont get on.

i would spend a lot on my wedding cos id believe id be the first and last time that id have such a day. but not crazy spending and not liek a ton of people who i barely know

my dad was over the moon when i told him i wanted a lowkey affair

but some ppl go overboard, my cuzin recently got married to this guy and her dad paid to jet his whole family over from canada/holland, and they had their party in some posh hotel in london, and they arranged luxury travel for all the guests from the wedding to the party place, at the wedding they had caviar..which is disgusting, i aint eating no fish eggs :neutral: but yeah, her cake alone cost like 6grand, it wasnt even that nice..but it was huge

but it was such a waste of money, and apparently the dad is stone broke now..but thats the price you pay for having a spoilt daughter

im sure there are many other better ways u can spend the money, i mean sure enough u can have a nice wedding but u dnt wna b goin OTT about it, the girl thought that ppl would chat about her wedding for years to come, and we do..but not in a good way
