View Full Version : Women Break Sex Taboo

A GROUP of Asian women are collecting the details of the sex life and fantasies of female Muslims with the aim of publishing them in a taboo-breaking book.
The women - young Greater Manchester-based professionals -say their aims is to shatter the myth that Muslim females are frigid prudes forced unwillingly into sex by dominant males.
They have started their ground-breaking work by writing about their own sex lives and are now seeking female volunteers in the wider Muslim community.
They spoke to Asian News of their research but asked not to be identified for fear it would upset their relationships with husbands or partners.
Their spokeswoman was accountant Samina (not her real name).
She said: "We are not prudes, in fact some of us are the complete opposite who enjoy a very fulfiling and active sex life.
"We want to address modern day Muslim sexual experiences even if they do not match Islamic prescriptions for sexual conduct."
The idea for the book came to Samina after a conversation at work.
She said: "A couple of weeks ago some of my white colleagues were discussing their sex life, but felt that I couldn’t be involved in the conversation, because they thought I didn’t have much of a sex life even though I am married.
"I found it quite bizarre, because as women, it is the one topic nearly everybody discusses. They actually thought because I am a Muslim, I was a prude and frigid in bed.
"One girl even thought that most Muslim women were treated as second class citizens by their husbands and therefore were probably forced to have sex every night.
"When I discussed this with some of my other Muslim friends, they told me that they too got the same response from non-Muslims.
"We decided that it would be a good idea to record our own experiences and that of others and publish them in a book.
"We are not mentioning any names unless participants want us to, but it will be interesting to see what other Muslim women have to say about themselves. "
Samina hopes the book will be out next year and will be approaching publishers.
But she admits her research remains a secret from her husband.
"He would not agree with me on this one so I’m not going to tell him.
"A lot of people have said we're brave to write about sex but I guess I'm not that brave as I will not jeopardise my relationship with my husband by coming clean with him.
"My friends felt the same way. I am sure there are people out there who think we are wasting our time, but we feel it is something that needs doing."

.... maybe their men should buy the book and give them what they want.
I'm not trying to be offensive in anyway. Any man should take care of all their wife's needs.

this is gonna cause a hell of a storm, but quite a good money making idea i think, i think the books gona hit the roof with sales, as no ones really dared talk about it before,
anyways everyone knows especially amongst the younger generation, that muslim women aint prudes when it comes to sex, but i dont know why they focussing it on jus muslim women for, as im sure this also qualifies for nearly the whole asian/desi girls, dont matter weather ur muslim, sikh, hindu gujrati, i mean the whole asian scene in general, im sure 9 out of 10 asian girls in general cant really openly discuss sex lives etc out in the open like they intend to in that book and if they did i wonder how many wud ask to remain anonymous,
but nevertheless looks like its gonna be hot topic

any money theyre doing it so they get accepted, ie trying to distance themselves from the notion that all muslims are terrorists..you know, the more they fit with western culture, the more like the whites they are
my view is, if u wna chat bout your sex life in public then you should be prepared to atleast say this is my name and this is what i believe
what theyre doing is saying..yeah we fuck..but we dont wna tell any1 about it..so why write the book?
if you wna out urselves and tell ppl bout ur sexlife then leave ur proper name..

The westerners want muslim women to act like them and wear revealing clothes and sleep with random people. Since muslim women or most muslim women don't do that they think muslim women don't want to have sex with their husbands either so their husbands force them to have sex with them!

its not just the westerners who want muslim women to act like them
there are plenty of muslim women who want to be more like western women
its never just the "fault" of one side..
sure there are going to be westerners who couldnt give a damn what muslim women did and there are going to be just the same amount of muslim women who want to remain traditional in their dress and mindset..it just depends on the kind of muslims you know..i mean you know personally, not the muslims the girls know :sarb:

Bloody stupid imo, muslim women have a right to have their sexual (and all other) needs fullfilled but they should keep it behind doors with their husbands, they can be as wild/loud, naughty etc etc as they want but to come out and blag their stories to the world is stupid and demeaning to both themselves and their faith.
Imagine being a married guy and your mates/colleague/someone you know say 'hey you read that book... one muslim girl/woman likes doing this, this and this and you think hey thats exactly what we do, word for word.....errr... how would that make you feel?
The only people so far saying muslim women are frigid/repressed/oppressed are those who dont actually know muslims that well and do you think they are going to see you in a good light if you tell sorded stories of what happens in the privacy of your own bedroom? y not take a camcorder in and blank the eyes/face out. If non muslims dont know about you (women) there are much better ways to educate them than stoop to their level cos once thats the start on a slippery slope and the only way is down.

I agree 100%.
One of the only things the West is good at is exploitation. (exploitation of blacks & slavery, exploitation of countries, exploitation of oil, exploitation of women. THE END.)
