Hi  I am a DJ and wandered on to your forum to get some advice :)

In a few weeks I will be doing a mixed wedding for an English guy and an Indian girl. I want to get some music for her family to dance to. This is an area I am not so knowledgeable in. I have asked them for some recommended CDs that I could purchase but they haven't been able to help so far. They've said that it will not be needed for more than 1 hour over the whole night.

Coincidentally I have done functions before where members of both families have been and they've gone well, but I'd like to make an effort to include the elder members of her family a little more.

Currently I have a few Urban Indian CDs such as Bobby & Nihal Presents, Punjabi MC etc, but I do not have so much traditional Indian flavours or the Bollywood hits.
Can anyone offer any advice on names of CDs I could purchase. I don't intend buying tons of CDs, ideally just a few; 1 or 2 of the top Bollywood compilations and 1 or 2 of traditional music compilations. Not necessarily the best ever tracks, more essential is the stuff that is most popular for dancing.

Would very much appreciate your help; Cheers  :drink:
