nah honestly we are better then most, but i just think we arent as good as brazil or italy or even france. the rest of the teams we can beat but brazil italy, france england play crap against. Notice spain isnt in the top 10 either. england and spain are alike.

We're better than Spain no doubt, it's just Sven needs to stop sucking Beckham off and start basing the team around some real bright young things. Use team strengths you Swedish git.

true. plus they were brilliant in euro 2004. it will be interesting to see what happens to the czech's after the legendary and influential Nedved leaves the squad

but other than that, we've got outstanding individual players in the england squad... but someone really needs to come along and get the best out of the players and make them work as a solid unit. we need more confidence and passion in general (including the manager etc...)

Let's be honest. England has a great squad, solid defence and the midfield is awesome too. But they just dont know how to play solid team-football, especially when it really matters. They can learn a lot from the cricket lot.

I say lampard or even terry would be a better choice for team captain.

Beckham . :gtfo:

Dude, not sure if you saw the Madrid game last night be he was all over the place. I love his crosses and he's so imaginative on the pitch, probably the strongest Real player at the moment(bar robinho & baptista). Its just that he plays a different type of football to everyone else on the england team now and internationally, teams try to limit him on the pitch so he dont get much shine.

Yer im not denying hes a classs player . But its different for the natioanl team . he wants to play central midfield (HOLDING) but theres better players there for england *parker-gerrard*

Plus to play him in that postion the whole team has to Re-shuffle which changes the shape of the team - Rooney being Shafted to the left .. wen every one knows he simply sensational playing behind the striker .

However special becks is he simply does not fit in Englands starting line up .

True say *****. No denying he's a mad player, especially at Real but its obvious now the guy just doesn't fit with the proper new talent we've got.

they have a strong work ethic but they will do piss all in the 2006 world cup.

Maybe it Englands time, even though things at a bit tits up at the moment they can pull it off.

Rugby winners 2004
cricket winners 2005 (not world cup but ashes are bigger than that)
football 2006?
